The Villa

Our Villa is the perfect self catering holiday gite for a large family , or two families wanting to experience the peace, tranquility and sunshine of the Vendee region of France. It is a brand new house set on the edge of a forest in a small community within easy reach (by car) to the nearest amenities.

The interior of the villa has been designed to create a comfortable, spacious open-plan living area, with separate Kitchen and Utility room.

It is built on four levels and the master bedroom has great views over the valley at the rear.

The Villa has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard in order to provide a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.

On the main Level, the Villa has an open plan living area with english satellite TV, DVD player, CD player and a log burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen includes a full size cooker, american fridge freezer with ice and filtered water, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a cloakroom on this level.

On the lower Level the Laundry Room offers free to use facilities, including washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

On the first Level, there is a double, a twin and a triple bedroom (underbed). The bathroom has a bath and over the bath shower.

On the upper level is the master double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The bedroom offers great views over the valley.

The Villa has it's own private garden complete with BBQ and garden furniture. There is also a 100 metre terrace with 8 x 4 metre mineral swimming pool with a level depth of 1.44m. For safety there is a solar powered roller cover.

All bed linen and towels (except beach and pool towels) are provided.

We are happy to accommodate families with a young baby and a travel cot with bedding & high chair can be provided.

There is a mini-hifi with an ipod station. A selection of CDs and a supply of books and games are also provided.

There are also local maps and tourist information guides.

Garden furniture and barbecue are provided for alfresco dining.

Local Amenities

There is a bar and restaurant within walking distance.

The village of Mervent is a 2 minute drive away and has a small shop , hairdressers, tourist information, restaurants and bars.

The nearest bakers (boulangerie) for your morning croissants, is just 5 minutes drive away.

There are a large number of restaurants and bars within a five minute drive away.

Fontenay le Compte is only 10 minutes drive away and services include :- banks, mini-markets, many bar/restaurants, pizzeria, doctors, pharmacies, post office, bakers, butchers, 2 large supermarkets, many retail shops, saturday market, an indoor market and two retail parks.
